TENSION OF THE TENSION....HYPERTENSION.

Hello Everyone! Back with another complication. By reading the title, you must have understood that the topic is Hypertension. Well, let's get started!!

DEFINITION:-

Hypertension defines itself as "High Blood pressure" Well, what is high blood pressure? Let us start with blood pressure first Blood pressure is the pressure of circulating blood against the walls of blood vessels. Most of this pressure results from the heart pumping blood through the circulatory system. But when this pressure increases and is too high, then it increases the workload of the heart, causing "hypertension". I again repeat that "hypertension" is another name for high blood pressure.

TYPES OF HYPERTENSION:-

There are two types of "hypertension".

  1. Primary hypertension:- This is also called essential hypertension. It is called this when there is no known cause for your high blood pressure. This is the most common type of hypertension. This type of blood pressure usually takes many years to develop. It probably is a result of your lifestyle, environment, and how your body changes as you age.

  1. Secondary hypertension:- This is when a health problem or medicine is causing your high blood pressure. Things that can cause secondary hypertension include:
  • Kidney problems.
  • Sleep apnea.
  • Thyroid or adrenal gland problems.
  • Some medicines.

CAUSES OF HYPERTENSION:-

First, you need to understand that hypertension increases with your age. So we can say that it is an age factor. All right, now move to the real causes for which it develops. The following are the most common of them.

  • A diet high in salt, fat, and/or cholesterol.
  • Chronic conditions such as kidney and hormone problems, diabetes, and high cholesterol.
  • Family history, especially if your parents or other close relatives have high blood pressure.
  • Lack of physical activity.
  • Obesity.
  • Race (non-Hispanic black people are more likely to have a high blood pressure than people of other races).
  • Stress.
  • Use of Tobacco or drinking too much alcohol.

SYMPTOMS:-

Most people who have high blood pressure do not have symptoms. This is why it’s sometimes called “the silent killer.” It is very important to have your blood pressure checked routinely by a sphygmomanometer. But some may include:-

  • Headaches
  • Nosebleeds
  • Shortness of breath.

Nonetheless, those manifestations can caricature many other conditions (serious or non-serious). Customarily, these symptoms occur once the blood pressure has reached a precariously high level over some time.

CHECKING BLOOD PRESSURE AND ITS RANGES.

You may have seen someone checking their blood pressure. And as a result, you would have heard two numbers. These numbers show the rate of pressure. The first (systolic) number represents the pressure in blood vessels when the heart contracts or beats. The second (diastolic) number represents the pressure in the vessels when the heart rests between beats. You may also hear the doctor or nurse say a blood pressure is “120 over 80.”

  • Normal blood pressure is less than 120 on top and less than 80 on the bottom.
  • Prehypertension levels are 120-139 on top and 80-89 on the bottom.
  • High blood pressure, stage 1 is 140-159 on top and 90-99 on the bottom.
  • High blood pressure, stage 2 is 160 or higher on top and 100 and over on the bottom.

-------------------------------------------------------------

You need to understand that is a serious medical condition that significantly increases the risks of heart, brain, kidney, and other diseases. An estimated 1.13 billion people worldwide have hypertension, most (two-thirds) living in low- and middle-income countries.

DISEASES PRECEDED BY HYPERTENSION:-

  • Heart attack or stroke. ...
  • Aneurysm. ...
  • Heart failure. ...
  • Weakened and narrowed blood vessels in your kidneys. ...
  • Thickened, narrowed, or torn blood vessels in the eyes. ...
  • Metabolic syndrome. ...
  • The trouble with memory or understanding. ...
  • Dementia.

-------------------------------------------------

But there are ways to treat it too. The best way to lower blood pressure begins with changes you can make to your lifestyle to help lower your blood pressure and reduce your risk of heart disease. Additionally, your doctor may prescribe medicine to lower your blood pressure. These are called antihypertensive medicines.

The goal of treatment is to reduce your blood pressure to normal levels. Your doctor may prescribe medicine that’s easy to take and has few if any, side effects. This treatment is highly successful. If your blood pressure can only be controlled with medicine, you’ll need to take the medicine for the rest of your life. It is common to need more than one medicine to help control your blood pressure. Don’t stop taking the medicine without talking with your doctor. Otherwise, you may increase your risk of having a stroke or heart attack.

PREVENTIONS:-

It can also be prevented. If your high blood pressure is caused by lifestyle factors, you can take steps to reduce your risk:

  • Lose weight.
  • Stop smoking.
  • Eat properly.
  • Exercise.
  • Lower your salt intake.
  • Reduce your alcohol consumption.
  • Learn relaxation methods.
  • Treating an underlying disease.

Additionally, you need to reduce the food intake which is rich in sodium because sodium also leads t hypertension. ·

  • Processed foods such as lunch meats, sausage, bacon, and ham.
  • Canned soups, bouillon, dried soup mixes.
  • Deli meats.
  • Condiments (catsup, soy sauce, salad dressings).
  • Frozen and boxed mixes for potatoes, rice, and pasta.
  • Snack foods (pretzels, popcorn, peanuts, chips).

So, better avoid them if you love your life.

Controlling your high blood pressure is a lifelong commitment. You will always need to monitor your weight, make healthy food choices, exercise, learn to cope with stress, avoid smoking, and limit your alcohol intake. If you need medicine to control your high blood pressure, you will likely need it all your life. I know that it is very hard for you. But, my readers, your life is the most precious thing God gave you. Think that and care for your life.

I hope that I have covered all the points of importance today. If anything is left unclear, please ask in the comments.  bid goodbye.
Will write again soon. Till then, bubyeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!

EXAMS-GATEKEEPERS TO SUCCESS OR TRAPS OF STRESS?

Hello, lovely people. It has been a really long time since I have posted anything. To be honest, whenever I got free from my college exams, I have been writing something constantly, but in the end, the final draft did not seem perfect enough to post and for people to read. I was in exam crunch due to my last college year, so I needed to focus on my studies. And now THAT I AM DONE WITH  MY LAST BOARD EXAM today, here I am, at your service, breaking ice on another taboo subject. One that some parents MIGHT NOT appreciate. So here we go, my thoughts at your service, for you to analyze and weigh(erm.. I should probably skip to the main part :) Anyway, Enjoy!) As judged by the topic, we are going to look at an in-depth analysis of the concept of exams and whether they are really the right tool to assess every student, even after knowing that, well, every mind is built differently? So, what can an exam be defined as? According to Google search( yep, I research from Google ),  ...

NAEGLERIA

Hello everyone! How are you all? I hope that you all are fine. Okay... so the topic for today is Naegleria. So, without losing a moment, let's get started:- GENERAL INTRODUCTION:- Naegleria  is a free-living amoebae protist genus consisting of 47 described species often found in warm aquatic environments as well as soil habitats worldwide. It has three life cycle forms: the amoeboid stage, the cyst stage, and the flagellated stage, and has been routinely studied for its ease in change from amoeboid to flagellated stages. The  Naegleria  genera became famous when  Naegleria fowleri , a human pathogenic strain and the causative agent of primary amoebic meningoencephalitis (PAM), was discovered in 1965. Most species in the genus, however, are nonpathogenic. TYPES OF NAEGLERIA:- 47 species of  Naegleria  have been described. These include: Naegleria americana Naegleria andersoni Naegleria angularis Naegleria antarctica Naegleria arctica Naegleria austral...
